How ProNanoCote Works

In the presence of light and moisture in the air, Active Oxygen is formed on the surface of ProNanoCote. When organic pollutants such as smoke, smog, allergens, etc. come into contact with the Active Oxygen they are oxidized and broken down into harmless carbon dioxide and water vapor.

Light, the most precious gift from the sun, is an infinite source of energy. ProNanoCote Photocatalyst coating harnesses this energy to create a clean and healthy environment by destroying all harmful organic substances. When people spend more time indoors, the enclosed space traps various toxic organic chemicals, together with odors emitted from building materials, stored chemicals and/or decaying matter which cause irritation and long-term illness. With controlled temperature and higher humidity, our working and living space often become the ideal breeding ground for all sorts of bacteria and microorganisms. ProNanoCote Treatment effectively reduces and contains these problems by applying a thin layer of protectant photo catalyst film on the surface which breaks down all organic pollutants.


Photocatalysis is defined as “acceleration by the presence of a catalyst”. A catalyst does not change in itself, nor is it consumed by the chemical reaction. This definition includes photosensitization, a process by which a photochemical alteration occurs in one molecular entity as a result of initial absorption of radiation by another molecular entity called the photosensitized. Chlorophyll of plants is a type of photo catalyst. While photosynthesis is a process in which chlorophyll captures sunlight to turn water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and glucose, photocatalysis creates a strong oxidation agent which breaks down any organic matter into carbon dioxide and water in the presence of photocatalyst, light and water.
